Why did the ambassador of United States to India visited ISRO ?
The us ambassador with his excellency visited ISRO headquarters on 24-05-2024 and met with ISRO's Chairman, ISRO 's Secretary,DOS & Shri Somanath.S.This visit highlighted the ongoing cooperation between India and United States in the field of Space.
Indian - U.S space association discussion
The ambassador and the delegation were welcomed by the senior officials of ISRO. The discussion between both the countries ' mutual interests and shared goals in advancing space science, technology and space economy were highlighted. In this discussion various ongoing association like Joint Working Groups, Artemis Aceord,NISAR and the use of the Laser Reflectometer Array on Chandrayan -3 were also discussed. The ambassador expressed his magnification for ISRO 's achievement and it's role in global space exploration. Many more future programs were discussed such as continuation of balloon experiments , identifying milestone event and including the exchange visits of both sides professional. ISRO emphasized the need to address access to critical component and items to expedite collaborative missions.
Ambassador Garcetti curiosity about space department
Ambassador Garcetti inquired about the role played by the department of space in fostering commercial space activities. ISRO 's Chairman Somnath.S mentioned that for the 1st time, payload technology and space - bound hardware are being built in Indian facilities which are outside ISRO lab. ISRO plans to source payload and sattelits for its programs from Indian companies and enables them to enter the global market.

Important discussion for future missions
NASA's participation in India's proposal for a G-20 Satellite for environment and climate change and advanced imaging spectrometer Satellite as a follow -up-mission for NISAR. The encouragement of cooperation between commercial companies from both countries for quicker and more effective outcomes such as Gaganyaan Cargo module as an option for transfer of Cargo to ISS. Ambassador proposed a QUAD Satellite.
This was a nice visit on 24.05.2024 which ended with a commitment to strengthening the partnership between India and the united states in the field of space. Both sides expressed optimism about future collaborative endeavors
